Each year the Tony Randall Theatrical Fund traditionally awards $100,000 to an innovative non-profit theater company for the production of a classic play or a play inspired by the classics. The annual $100,000 winner and $10,000 runner up are chosen by a committee of theater artists and professionals.

Since 2009, the Tony Randall Theatrical Fund has temporarily changed its giving guidelines; rather than award $100,000 for the production of a classic play, we have presented general operating support grants (ranging from $5,000 to $10,000) to a small number of passionate, resourceful theater companies that continue to fulfill their mission despite ongoing financial constraints.
